Children in KS2 visited Beamish Museum this term as part of their topic “Victorian Detectives”.
2 of our governors joined us and we had a great day visiting the school, the miners’ cottages and shops in the town. It was very cold but well worth the visit!
Mrs T finds out just how it was to live in the mining village.
The policeman was looking for a likely suspect…
…and then found one!
We learnt how different it was to be in school during Victorian times.
Our favourite part of the day was in the sweet shop…
…and of course the bakery.
