What a busy half term we have had in such a short time!
We attended a mini tennis festival at Caldew School where the Sports Leaders led fun activities linked to tennis. We had a great time even though we had to battle the hailstones a couple of times! It allowed us to make new friends with children from other schools too.
In English we have finished reading a book called Lady Daisy by Dick King-Smith. We explored the emotions the main character Ned went through in the last few chapters of the book and how he jumped to conclusions. We used drama to explore the emotions and created a video of freeze frames. Here are some of the photos we took:
In Science this half term we are learning about ‘Rocks’. Last week we had a visit from a geologist called Stephen Wright who came to share his knowledge of rocks. He brought in many different types of rocks and showed us how a volcano worked. He had visited an active volcano and we loved watching his videos.
