This half term we are thinking about Courage
Courage is often about continuing to do what you would normally do even when faced with extraordinary situations. Many Christians believe that God asks us to offer our skills, talents and abilities in the face of adversity, and that he will use that courageousness to achieve great things. The word ‘courage’ comes from the Latin word ‘cor’ = heart.
‘Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.’ Joshua 1.9
We will be thinking about how to find courage when faced with challenging times. We will reflect on how sometimes this means stepping out of our comfort zone and standing up for what we believe is right. We will explore how being courageous means different things to different people.
We will learn about people who have shown courage and use Jesus as a model for being courageous.
